Passion for our mission and vision is required!As part of a small,
passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will help design
and develop rocket engines and propulsion systems that meet Blue
Origin's launch vehicle program requirements for various
spaceflight systems. This position will directly impact the history
of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and
detailed attention towards safe and repeatable
spaceflight.Responsibilities:
- Develop Component Finite Element Models (FEM) based on
interaction with the design and engine system analysis team.
- Perform classic hand calculations and FEM Simulations of rocket
engine hardware including turbomachinery, manifolds, and thrust
chambers
- Use structural analysis methods to support test and failure
investigations
- Communicate analysis results to the teamQualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace
engineering
- Excellent understanding of engineering fundamentals (statics,
dynamics, mechanics of materials)
- Ability to work effectively in teams
- Ability to communicate analysis results effectively
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident
(current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as
a refugee or granted asylum.Desired:
- Knowledge of ANSYS Mechanical.
- Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language
(Python/MATLAB/etc)Compensation Range for:CA applicants is
$75,510.00-$105,714.00;WA applicants is $75,510.00-$105,714.00Other
