Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Sr Researcher for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be three months, with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: The main function of a Researcher is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining technical records and files.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Purpose of the Team: The team supports SharePoint end-to-end, including everything from the authoring Internet platform to SharePoint as a content management platform. They focus on managing content at scale as part of customers' workflows.
Key Projects: This role will contribute to a new area within SharePoint focused on the solution space of content management. There might be some AI work connected to this initiative.
Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm:30% Meetings
50% Research Execution
20% Collaboration and Stakeholder Management


Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
Maintain records and files of work and revisions
Confer with clients to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication


Qualifications:

Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or Certifications Required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role.
Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain solid UX research experience, demonstrating strong qualitative skills and familiarity with core methodologies. They should possess mixed methods expertise, including survey design and analysis, and have experience in a highly technical space, preferably with exposure to B2B recruitment and product development. Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, effective reporting and insight delivery, and flexibility to work remotely and manage time across different time zones are also essential.
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and meeting deadlines.
Minimum 8-10 years experience with UX research
Minimum 8-10 years experience with concept and usability testing
Minimum 8-10 years experience with stakeholder management
Minimum 8-10 years experience in survey design and analysis; must have the ability to design and analyze surveys to understand the frequency and importance of issues identified through qualitative research.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, English, journalism, or communications
8-10 years of experience required
Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Ability to read some programming code
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
