qualified NICU RN in Renton, Washington, 98055 Pay Information
$2,489 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Job Duration: 12
weeks Shift: 12H Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required License:
Valid RN License Certifications: NRP, BLS Must-Have: - Experience
with EPIC charting system - Ability to care for gestations down to
23 weeks - Experience with all respiratory equipment and feeding
pumps Job Description: - Provide care in a Level 3 NICU with 20
beds and patient ratios of 1:1-3, depending on acuity and staffing.
- Common patient diagnoses include extremely premature and
premature patients, BPD, HIE, feeding intolerance, respiratory
support, and sepsis/meningitis. - Must be skilled in titrating
drips such as BP drugs, TPN/D10, and Insulin. - Work in
collaboration with ARNP/PA present in-house 24/7. - Utilize RT
equipment such as HFOV, HFJV, conventional vents, CPAP, HFNC, and
NC. - Responsible for reading tele strips on the unit. - Expected
to work 3-12 hour shifts per week with 4-week schedules. - Weekend
requirements may include working every weekend. - Possible holiday
requirements individualized to the contract. - May be placed on
standby if not needed. - Floating requirements include floating to
pediatrics for NICU grads and caring for patients up to 12 months
of age or serving as a 1:1 sitter for a behavioral health patient.
- Adhere to dress code in Royal Blue scrubs. - Participate in 1-2
shifts of orientation specific to the unit/department. -
Cancellation policy permits 1 shift cancellation per 2-week period.
