  • A hospital in Washington is looking for an experienced PCU RN for a travel contract.
  • Expect 25+ hours during the first 2 week of your assignment.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 full years of experience
    • Hold an active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
    • Hold a WA License/Compact License
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are 12 hours, 7-7
      • Floor specific orientation: Yes - 12hrs policy/procedure; 12hrs on unit with preceptor; EPIC as needed
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other
      • No guaranteed orientation/education hours during the first 2 weeks

        • Unit: PCU 6th Floor
        • Number of beds: 32
        • Nurse to patient ratios: 1:3-4 occasionally
        • EMR: EPIC
        • Charge Nurse: Yes, free charge
        • Nurse Aides: Yes; CNA ratio 1:8-12
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: CVA/TIA, STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule out MI, ACS, CHF, Renal failure - acute and chronic, Respiratory Failure/distress, DKA/HHNK, PE/DVT, afib, pre/post cardiac angiogram, stents, pre/post pacemaker, pre/post cardiac ablation, pre-CABG, CIWA

          • Region III: Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital - Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center - Silverdale, WA.

          • Experience with CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis) is a plus, but not required.
